  • Adair wins Rookie of the Year

    Former Rebels athlete Tiffanie Adair received NC A&T's Rookie of the Year award for all female athletes at the All Sports Banquet. The accolade is a huge success as Adair was selected from all rookies from softball, tennis, golf, swimming, cheer, and volleyball. Adair graduated from Byrnes, Class of 2010.

  • Summer Volleyball Camp

    The Lady Rebels volleyball coaches will host the Byrnes High School Volleyball Camp June 11-14, 2012 for rising 4th-7th graders. The sessions will be 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Lost in the playoffs

    The Lady Rebels played hard last night and fell just short of the Upper State Finals. The Lady Rebels lost to Hillcrest in 3 sets(19-25, 23-25, 20-25). Caroline Shin, Jr, had an outstanding night last night as libero.

  • Victory over Northwestern

    The Lady Rebels had a very exciting night last night as they defeated Northwestern 3-2 (25-22, 25-20 ,18-25, 17-25, 15-13). The Lady Rebels won the first two sets behind Morgan Allen's, Jr, serve and the kills of Kristen Dodge, Jr, and Kirsten McCraw, So. Northwestern answered back in the 3rd and4th sets pushing the match into a deciding 5thset.

  • Playoffs Game 1

    The Lady Rebels started playoffs last night taking on the Region 1 #1 seed Woodmont. The Lady Rebels beat Woodmont 3-1 (25-20, 25-14, 24-26, 25-23). Kristen Dodge, Jr, had a triple double with 16 kills, 13 assists, and 10 digs.

  • Victory against Boiling Springs

    The Lady Rebels defeated Boiling Springs last night in their final home match of the season to get seeded 4th in the region.  The Rebels swept Boiling Springs in 3 (25-13, 25-18, 25-19).    Lauren Ziegler, Sr, showed off her hitting and blocking abilities on her senior night.  She had 12 kills and 2 blocks.  She plans to attend Converse College to major in Biology and play volleyball.  Kristen Dodge, Jr, had a double-double on the night as she had 10 kills and ...

  • Byrnes's lost to Dorman

    The JV played a good match against Dorman High School on October 18, 2011, losing the first game 25-12 but coming back strong in the second game losing 25-27. Defense led the way as Alysa Burke, So, had 11 digs, Sydney Dempsey, Fr, had 11 digs and Anna McCarthy, So, added 6 digs. Strong servers included Alysa Burke, So, and Taylor Hickum, 8th, who both had serving runs in the second game that really boosted us.

  • Nation Ford Tournament

    This weekend Byrnes Volleyball hosted 11 teams in the Byrnes Invitational.  The Varsity team swept their pool and went on to play in the championship match.  Byrnes lost the final match to Dorman but showed strong play throughout the day.
