The Lady Tennis program competed at Chapman High School yesterday, in the first scrimmage of the season.  The Varsity defeated Chapman 4-3.  

In #1 singles, Kylie Birch (11) won 8-3; #2 singles, Haven Coker (12) won 8-5; #5 singles, MK Flynn (10) won 8-6.  In #2 doubles, Caroline Creel (12) and Karina Suri (12) won their match 8-5.   For #3 singles, Claudia Burnett (9) played a good match but came up short with 2-8 Chapman, and in #4 singles, Parker Birch (8) came back from behind but ended the match with 6-8 Chapman. 

In #1 doubles, Kylie Birch and Haven Coker lost in a nail-biting tiebreaker, ending the match at 8-9 Chapman.  

Overall, the match was a success!  Coach Paxton is very please with our girls and looking forward to an exciting season!
