The Byrnes Boys Cross Country placed sixth in the Heritage Park Canned Food Drive 5K.The meet included 20 teams. Most of the boys either ran a PR (personal record) or ran their personal best for the season.

Griffin Eubanks placed 4th. Griffin ran his fastest time of the season with a 16:47. Griffin averaged an astounding 5:24 a mile.

Byrnes defeated Eastside, Travelers Rest, Hillcrest, J.L. Mann, Carolina Home School, Palmetto, Greenville High, Greer, Greenville Tech Charter, Greer Middle College, Woodmont, Blue Ridge, Legacy Charter School, and Southside High School.

The boys and girls cross country teams will race again at 10:00 am on Saturday in Charlotte at the Wendy's Invitational.

In the Landrum Meet, the Boys' Cross Country team mainly ran the JV team and placed 7th out of 9 teams. Today there is a meet at Heritage Park in Simpsonville.

The Byrnes Boys Cross Country team had a great showing at the Cavalier Classic at Dorman on Saturday, September 24, 2011.

The boys placed 6th out of 18 teams.

Leading the way for the boys was Griffin Eubanks. Griffin placed fifth overall with his fastest time of the season which was 17:05.
