The Rebels returned to normal form Friday night as they dominated the T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets 63-6. The Rebels struck early and often. The first score came on an 18 yard pass from Shuler Bentley to Colton Korn. Bentley would finish the game with five passing touchdowns. Bentley’s other targets included Akia Booker, Evan Sudduth and Brooklyn Clark. Running Back Shakeem Wharton would finish the night with three rushing Touch Downs. Shane Samuels would also score with a 24 yd interception. All TD’s would be followed by a PAT kicked by Kaleb Patterson.
T.L. Hanna’s lone score came in the first quarter in the form of a 38 yd pass from Brent Kinley to IshmellWIllaims. The following PAT failed.
Statistically, the Rebels finished the night with 378 yards passing and 171 yards rushing. Defensively, the Rebs only allowed 63 yards passing and 70 yards rushing.
Next Friday the Rebels face the Mauldin Mavericks at Nixon Field.
